Dear Me,

Today, I promise to keep my spaces clean and my environment cleaner. I want to plant trees and keep my home full of life, clean air, and healthy attitudes. In effort to positively impact climate change, I want to continue to compost and make sure everything I cook with, snack on, and drop goes into the bin in order to keep all of MY organic waste out the landfill. Individual impacts are real and stopping my bad habits might inspire others to change theirs, so why not try!

More Messages to the Future

Para minha querida filha, Vitória,

Consegue compreender que estamos aqui de passagem e que temos por obrigação apenas tomar emprestado, evitado excessos e principalmente agradecer.

Dear Future Grandchildren,

I hope I can look you in the eye and tell you I honestly did everything I could to protect our planet.

Dear Tomorrow

I will get my roommates to be more environmentally friendly.

Dear Tomorrow,

The road I learned to ride my bike on, the field where I kicked my first soccer ball, and the park I ate my first ice cream cone at, could all be gone.

To My Friends, Family and Future Grandchildren,

I realize my reflection of the past, current and future state of the environment paints a grim and pessimistic picture, but I feel optimistic in our ability to turn planet Earth’s fate around if we all work together and commit to making a change.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to take my bike everywhere. Taking Golden Gate Transit to SF tonight.

Dear Future Self,

More than getting through a global pandemic that has already taken hundreds of thousands of lives around the world, our true feat is even larger: to secure our long-term health and the health of the ecosystems upon which we depend for life. To do that, we have to cut our emissions in half in the next ten years, and continue to reduce it beyond that. And to succeed in that, we need to fundamentally shift the way we do EVERYTHING.

Dear Evie of 2050,

I can feel the change happening — many people are working to transform the world.

Dear Annie and Eric,

I hope that this life of good things is not just yours to enjoy, but that you also have decided to fight for others to have this life, too.

Dear Nuriel, Eliran, and Rotem,

Sometimes I think we will never make it, but I know we must keep trying.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to use a reusable water bottle.

I promise to plant trees and to turn off the lights.
