Dear future me,

Life is full of changes and it is important that we learn to adapt to a life filled with changes. It is 2020 so you should be used to adapting to uncertain circumstances. It is valuable that you do your part in making reducing carbon emissions whether it be doing little actions. However it is important to note that these changes can also help come up with a solution to mitigate the situation.

I hope to see a world that have managed to change the way we live by reducing the amount of waste and energy produced. I hope see us implement more effective ways to reduce carbon emissions and hopefully one day see a world that adapts to a cleaner way of living. Ideally, I would like to see electric cars become more affordable in order for it become more available for people. By making these environmentally friendly cars more affordable, we would be able to make the reduction of carbon emissions easier. I would love to see companies also hopefully make more environmentally friendly decisions that would be able to improve the way we live.

I would love to see people take action and stand up for a more conscious world that is willing to take action and make a difference. I hope to live in a world that stopped making climate change such a political thing rather than something that is actually backed by science. I want to see more people aware of the environmental issues in the world and doing something to mitigate them with it be keeping devices unplugged when not in use or taking a bike/walk to work. I have hope that this world will be different by 2050 and that we will see positive changes in the world.

More Messages to the Future

To my daughter and her children,

As a minister, I have preached that we are here to be of service to others and to be care takers of this wonderful planet that God has given us.

Meus filhos,

Espero que vcs tb encontrem ,de alguma forma,um caminho para colaborarem com Nossa Mãe Terra, bjs eternos.

To Annika, Anders, Stella, Eva, and Mickey,

In writing to you, I realize that I don’t want you to be hard on yourself if you choose to not make this your cause. But it is mine, so I hope that you hold me accountable to some of what I wrote here.

To the future,

Today, I will hope and envision the future I wish to achieve. Then tomorrow, I will have tough conversations, I will call my local representatives, I will continue to fight for this world.

For those who come after us,

This is for the countless children I already see suffering the impact of climate change around the world, and the generations to follow.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to switch from “light” to “deep” green.

Filhota,

Espero de verdade saber contribuir para legá-la inteira para você, e que todos saibamos fazer isso em conjunto também.

Dear Society,

If we work together to spread the awareness of what is occurring today, we will be able to prevent it from continuing into the tomorrow.

To my beloved granddaughters, Margaret and Caroline,

Growing up in Germany, I often wondered what my parents had done to oppose the Nazi regime in the 1930’s that led to WWII.  I was so disappointed when I found out how passive they had been. For me, this was formative.

I love you Earth.

Dear Tomorrow

I hope that environmental issues are a thing of the past.

To anyone who has heard my music,

I promise to care about the planet.
