To My Grandchildren,

I hope that my generation will have found a way to slow down climate change in order to ensure better lives for you and your children someday. In order to properly take care of ourselves, we need to take care of the Earth as well. Please remember this throughout your day to day lives. Hopefully, all cars will be electric in your lifetime and the world has switched to using more sustainable and renewable energy sources. If the people of my generation continue to treat the Earth so poorly, you and your children will have to suffer the consequences. I promise I will take action to ensure that you have a safe and healthy world.

More Messages to the Future

BATMAN SAYS, “LISTEN!”

How can I help you save the world and our country?

To my Children,

As you look through your window, I hope you will see a bright future. I hope you dream big, and that you have the courage, drive, and fortitude to do everything you can to achieve those dreams.

Dear Daughter,

Tonight at bedtime, you asked, seemingly out of nowhere, “why are the glaciers disappearing?”

To My Friends, Family and Future Grandchildren,

I realize my reflection of the past, current and future state of the environment paints a grim and pessimistic picture, but I feel optimistic in our ability to turn planet Earth’s fate around if we all work together and commit to making a change.

Dear Son,

I hope with effective action to combat this climate change will we have a better world in the future.

To My Future Children,

Most importantly, I hope you live in a world where science is taken seriously and fact is clearly distinguished from fiction.

To the wonder,

Dear tomorrow, thank you for letting me ride the wave of wonder that reaches toward you for all generations of all species to come.

My Mini & Lou,

Since I first sat down with these words, a pandemic has erupted. Racial violence is reaching a fever pitch and protests are raging across the nation. It feels like the planet is succumbing to entropy, slipping further into chaos. But I write to you from a time of shifting tides.

For a child I am yet to know,

We are fighting for a shared cause, inspired by our strong and unwavering dedication to preserve the beauty and wonder of our natural world for our children, our grandchildren and their children, and for countless generations to come.

Dear kids of America,

Please eliminate plastic everything

To my children,

I hope that the fervor that is building continues to build and spread and that the world has made progress to minimize the effects of our past actions.

Dear Tomorrow,

The road I learned to ride my bike on, the field where I kicked my first soccer ball, and the park I ate my first ice cream cone at, could all be gone.
