To future generations,

This letter comes from May 2, 2019, and is written by an individual that is 16 years old. The individual who wishes to remain anonymous wants to ask of the future generations to please do their part in keeping Earth clean and healthy. I hope electric cars are the new normal and deforestation, pollution, and non-biodegradable material is made illegal. This letter also comes from an era where Trump is president. Please don’t let anyone like him come into power ever again. And please make sure that animals don’t go extinct at the rate that they do today.

More Messages to the Future

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to go DEEP GREEN

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to be creative – make art!

Happy 34th birthday my son.

To laugh at our efforts as they were on such a small scale, too small some would say to make a difference, and then smile when we think about the number families just like ours that did the same thing.

Olá Pessoal,

Com essas ideias simples e força de vontade, podemos tornar um mundo, um lugar melhor para se viver, com menos mortes, menos lixo, transforma-lo em um mundo diferente.

Dear Future,

I will use less plastic.

Minhas lindas,

As causas das mudanças no clima são tão profundas e envolvem tanta gente e tantos lugares.

Dear Makena,

Sweetie, you deserve clean air, water and soil. You deserve to thrive in an environment that supports you.

To the generation after mine,

But when you encounter that resistance–and you will, regularly–know that you must respond just how we have had to these past 50 years. With love, and sternness, and most of all, courage. Because that is what the resistance fears the most. We who came before you promise that we will do the same while we wait for you. Know that you will never be alone.

To my daughter,

The climate is quite dynamic these days. Dhaka has dust and warm in this spring.

Dear future self,

I am writing this to keep myself accountable and push myself towards taking action towards a sustainable future. I hope children of the future can still appreciate the wonders that nature and all its beings have to offer, appreciate the beauty in the world around us.

To my precious children

I want clean air, clean energy and muddy feet for you. I want this for all children.

Dear Bella,

I promise that I shall continue to do all that is within my capabilities to leave you a world where there is fairness and justice.
