To anyone who stumbles upon this,

hello,

My name is Noelle and I am currently a third-year college student at SJSU in the year 2020. I hope that college is free or abolished by the time you are reading this, but I have no preference for which outcome presents itself. I am saddened by the current state of our world and I truly hope you have gotten to see blue skies and clean oceans. The coral reefs are almost completely gone, which saddens me. I hope there are political leaders who are fighting for the preservation of our forests and landmarks, and if they aren’t, I encourage you to still do your part in saving the world. Your voice matters and voting for politicians who will make a positive change for our environment matters. I am going to use my voice and my vote to ensure the safety and preservation of our ecosystems, and I encourage you to do the same. We are going on a steep downhill decline in terms of the well-being of what used to be such a wide variety of species on Earth. I hope to make this world safer and better for you, and i hope you are still working to save the planet!

Best wishes,

Noelle

To My Daughter and Future Grandchildren,

There are so many more things that we can do together to help our Earth from the damage that has been done, and I am so excited to teach you.

Dear Children,

I wish I had a crystal ball and could peep into it to see you all happy and safe in a world that nourishes you and that is also nourished by you, a world where the resources it provides are as valued as the people in it and not frittered away by greed and power.

Dear Rowan & Tristan,

I promise to do everything I can as a daughter to our great Mother Earth to protect her wildlife and trees.

For a child I am yet to know,

We are fighting for a shared cause, inspired by our strong and unwavering dedication to preserve the beauty and wonder of our natural world for our children, our grandchildren and their children, and for countless generations to come.

Dear Kids of the Future,

My wish for all of you is that the people of the present wake up and are able to change their habits.

Dear Tomorrow,

I will do my part to help ensure that there is an Earth left when we are done borrowing it.

Dear Tomorrow,

I’m not allowed to talk about climate change around family; as my mom warned me, “climate change is not something that people think about in Mississippi.” But I’m worried for my family’s future.

To my future self,

It is today on March 6th, 2017 that you have made the decision to make a difference in this world.
