Dear tomorrow,

These days have been rough with several natural disasters happening in Florida. Some of us do not understand the connections with our footprint in the earth, while others try to reduce our impact of damage in our home. We might not suffer the harsh consequences that you might have to suffer unfairly, and I wish there was a way to reverse that. It is hard to convince everyone that climate change is happening, however, as it is mentioned in the book “The open space of democracy”, it is a never-ending project where the windows and doors remain open. The project has already started, and change is happening in some of us. I really hope that in the future present it is not only a project, but our lifestyle of treating fairly to the only home we have.

More Messages to the Future

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to pick up trash at every beach I visit 🙂 and to bike for local errands.

I promise to plant more flowers.

To my daughter,

The climate is quite dynamic these days. Dhaka has dust and warm in this spring.

To My Friends, Family and Future Grandchildren,

I realize my reflection of the past, current and future state of the environment paints a grim and pessimistic picture, but I feel optimistic in our ability to turn planet Earth’s fate around if we all work together and commit to making a change.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to switch from “light” to “deep” green.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to ask five of my friends to plant trees.

Dear Hannah, Harper and future baby of Ryan and Colleen Lane,

I will not stop fighting for a more sustainable future, your future.

Dear Emile and Eloise,

The beauty and majesty of the world of your childhood is as remarkable as the beauty and majesty of mine, but the fragility of your childhood world is so much greater.

Dear Tomorrow

Stay Cool and Save the Whales

Dearest Gray,

When I asked you why the purple Violet called to you, you told me it was “magic”. I hope that you can still find the magic of life. I hope, despite everything, it is still in abundance.

Dearest Finlay,

I hope you are healthy and happy and that you feel supported by the ecosystem around you because we are all deeply truly interconnected. We depend on the earth to take care of us, and nature needs us to take care of her in turn. We all need each other.

Dear Tomorrow

I will get my roommates to be more environmentally friendly.
