dear Kelley,

How are you? How is the weather so far in the future? I hope its not worse than what it is now. Everyone is worried about the earth getting hotter and how we as people are effecting climate change. And honestly so am I.

I’m not entirely sure what just one person can do about a problem that involves the entire world population, but I am determined to try at least something. I can promise you that I will do my best to minimize my trash production, and reuse things that can be reused instead of just throwing them away, but as for the rest of the world, I can make no promises as far as what they will do. But from here on out I want you to have a good future, one where you don’t have to worry about an early “end of the world” situation. Because I want you to live a very happy and healthy long life.

Best wishes

Noah

More Messages to the Future

Chers Enfants,

Chers Enfants,

Dear Future,

We need to work to save our beautiful home.

Dear Tomorrow,

My climate promise: community awareness of the climate crisis.

Dear Makena,

Sweetie, you deserve clean air, water and soil. You deserve to thrive in an environment that supports you.

Dear Children,

I wish I had a crystal ball and could peep into it to see you all happy and safe in a world that nourishes you and that is also nourished by you, a world where the resources it provides are as valued as the people in it and not frittered away by greed and power.

Dear Tomorrow,

And, if this summer has taught me anything, I am content (because I have to be) living in this limbo, this seemingly endless waiting for the opportunity to change, when really the opportunity exists within our very selves all along.

Dear Daughter,

I want you to be prepared for the world that the generations before you are creating for you. I love you Lucienne, and I will not give up. I will push you and teach you not to give up, either, even if others around you do.

Dear Tomorrow,

It wasn’t about Him, it was about Us. And this isn’t about Me, it’s about You. And it won’t be about You, it will be about Them.

Dear Generations to Be,

If we could all slow down, look around and connect: with each other, the Earth, the sky, the plants and rocks and animals, then maybe we can all remember to treat everyone and everything with respect and live in love.

Dear Nieces, Nephews, & Future Children…

If there is any advice I could give you, it is to believe that although you are one single person in this world, you still have the ability to make a difference in this world.

Dear Tomorrow,

Less meat, more on my feet!

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to pick up trash at every beach I visit, use metal straws, take quick showers.
