Dear Future Self,

I am writing this letter in hopes that when you read it, you can remember the person you were, you look back and smile, because every decision you made until now has made who you are, so be proud…

Tell me how are mom and dad, call them if you are lucky enough to have them around, how are your beloved sisters, is Ely still changing the world around her, is your beloved Grace still been unique and extraordinary.

I ask you if you continue thinking about climate change, take time and look around you, are you able to see nature? Are people aware of the crisis that is climate change? Are we doing something about it? Have you have done your part?  Remember that even a little action can make a big impact. I hope that you are still able to see the beauty of this planet, if you do, please make others be conscious about this issue.

I hope you are happy and I hope you are proud of who you are and how I got us here today, please take time to go outside and enjoy the sun, listen to the birds and enjoy nature. Make sure that you stay positive about the future and take action on the climate change issue.

I love you, always take care of yourself.

GF

More Messages to the Future

Dear my future family,

I will promise to help climate change as much as I can.

Dear Evan,

We want your future family to enjoy the same beautiful places we enjoyed.

A love letter to my son

I hope this year is a real turning point and by the time you’re a teenager, your life is powered almost entirely by clean energy like solar and wind.

Dear Elliott,

We’re moving into uncertain times, and your dad and I worry. A lot. But you’re keeping us going. You’re pushing us to make better choices and not give up.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise I will eat vegan, organic, locally grown, and seasonal.

Querida Futuro Yo,

Quiero que puedas decirme que lo hemos logrado, y que el mundo hoy es un poquito mejor porque nosotras pusimos de nuestra parte.

Dear Gabriel,

When the worst consequences of climate change still feel far away today, or the barriers to acting on climate change seem steep today, I do not think about today. I think about you, and your world when you are my age.

Dear Tara,

I am sitting in a classroom thinking about you. Which is rare for me. I hope that our family has taken some initiative to do something about changing society instead of building robots and large houses.

Dear Kiya,

Fighting for a system that rewards care for people and planet over profit.

Dear Tomorrow

I hope that environmental issues are a thing of the past.

To my future self,

It is today on March 6th, 2017 that you have made the decision to make a difference in this world.
