2016 is almost at an end.

FYI the earth is dying thanks to us and some level of politics.

Questions to the future:

Is the year you are reading this any different than 2016? Is the earth getting better now? or are we still denying that climate change and global warming is not happening? Did we win the Arctic oil law suit? Were we able to save the rainforests? Were we able to SAVE THE EARTH?
I hope that we are actually doing something, i hope the year this letter finds you is a good one.

I really hope the answers are optimistic. Cause I believe WE CAN and that WE WILL!!!

More Messages to the Future

To My Future Self,

This lead me to my final project, which focused on reforming the education system to incorporate sustainability classes into the current curriculum.

Querido amanhã,

Sempre é bom ajudar a natureza.

To my brother’s children,

We wondered about how we might be able to eliminate plastics from our day to day routines, and recycled literally everything. We were amazing, you should have seen us. Now and again though, we wondered if these were the right questions.

To my precious grandchildren, Emma, Maya, Maddie and Will,

With love and a great hope for the future, a future that will be healthy and sustainable for you, my precious grandchildren.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to clean the earth.

Dear Tomorrow,

I will opt up to deep green

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to use a reusable water bottle.

Dear Future Self,

It was 2020, the year I realized that life is fragile—not just mine, but the entire planet—through immense consumption, pollution, greediness, ignorance, false bliss. This wasn’t the way I wanted to live my life, so I promise to actively make the change.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise I will encourage everyone to adopt a plant-based diet. Good for our health, the animals and the planet.

Dear Sadie,

You are young and have a rich future ahead of you. I am retired and aiming for a high quality of cultural life and comfort with whatever time remains to me. I do not want to see a world whose elders sacrifice your future for their short-term needs and personal gain. So it’s up to you and me to speak out.

To my dear children in the year 2050,

I don’t wish to go backwards, but I do wish we would slow down and design our brave new world with more care.

Dear Jamie and Jason,

My inspiration was the two of you. It started with thinking about the world you were inheriting and what your future was going to be like. But then you taught me how important it is to listen to you – to listen to young people.
