To whom it may concern,

We are currently in 2018 and the world is growing rapidly. From our population to the technology, we are evolving fast and are not aware of the consequences of our actions yet. We are being warned and estimated that our carbon footprint is too high and that our greenhouse gas emissions are getting out of hand. There are minimal laws in effect about pollution and generally minimal awareness about how toxic we are creating our environment. I hope that we gradually increase our overall contributions to earth with minimal consequences. New technology thanks to Elon Musk will help us preserve our wildlife and environments around the world. By 2050, I hope we stop using fossil fuels and in the coming years we will work hard to be more green friendly and environmentally cautious. Lastly, I hope we can create technology to undo or slow down the process of global warming in ways that we have yet to discover because our technology is limited compared to the advanced future.

Dear Tomorrow-My letter to the future 2030

I am most sorry we could not work through our differences, and see through the greed, get organized, and do more so that you could have a better life in your 2030 future.

dear future people (:

I am writing this message to you guys. When I look outside my window today, I see a beautiful world that others and myself call “home sweet home.” The trees glimmering in warm sunlight, the air stirring a cool breeze, and the water flowing down rivers are parts of our home Mother Earth.

Dear future family and friends,

This is our house.

To my dear son,

Last year most of the world’s reefs turned white at some point, but because it was underwater you and your friends didn’t see.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise I will do everything I can to help fight against climate change.

Dear Lucy,

The clock ticks, time passes, and the earth and all of its inhabitants move closer to dangerous boundaries we can dimly discern but cannot see clearly.

To my dear children in the year 2050,

I don’t wish to go backwards, but I do wish we would slow down and design our brave new world with more care.
