To my future children,

I am now 16 years old. I am a vegetarian, part of the AK ‘Wir helfen’ and try hard to improve my own lifestyle and so take part, even if its only a small part, in improving and rescuing the world. Our world, your world. The home of so many wonderful fantastic and fascinating creatures and plants. I really do believe that we can save our planet, together. We just need to wake up. I hope that you will get the chance to feel snow, to go skiing, to jump in a lake, to dive and see the world of fishes under the water, to feel the different seasons and to enjoy life.

It will all fade away… if we don’t start acting like we have to.

Love you.

More Messages to the Future

To my sons,

I’m voting with climate change as a top priority. I’ve tried to teach you boys that we need to clean up after ourselves and take care of the earth. I promise to continue doing these actions and more, for your sake.

Dear Finley,

I wonder if in 2050 we will be looking at a future where fear from the changes at hand has caused people to hate rather than love and provide hope. Perhaps in that world we will we no longer comprehend the biblical texts in a meaningful way. Will climate change be the end of the epoch of God?

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to use a water bottle.

To earth & its inhabitants,

Its been heavy on my shoulders since I found out about the state of climate woes as a child.

Dear future family and friends,

This is our house.

Dear Tara,

I am sitting in a classroom thinking about you. Which is rare for me. I hope that our family has taken some initiative to do something about changing society instead of building robots and large houses.

Dear Future

My hope is for all who live in your time to still know the joy of swimming in the ocean, walking through the woods, and hiking in the mountains.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to use a reusable water bottle.

To what we’ve overcome.

The first step would be in overcoming ourselves. Because whether we end up fading into obscurity, or thriving in prosperity, we will overcome ourselves.

To the wonderful children of our family – Elayna, Julianna, and James –

There is no issue more important to your future and your friends’ future than stemming climate change.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to use my reusable water bottle more often

Fe,

As one push of a button can set a spinner in motion, so too can the actions of one in creating a world that allows you to thrive, to giggle, to love.
