Dear future child,

I want this beautiful Earth to still be here when you are older. I want you to be able to enjoy it like I have.

Climate change is happening as I write this to you now. It’s been happening, we see its affects everywhere, yet some people chose not to believe in science. We need positive change, we need it now, before it’s too late.

When you turn 16 and can explore the world on your own, I want you to do just so. I want you to visit every forest, every lake, every ocean you can. We live in a beautiful place, even if it’s hidden by factories and landfills.

I promise, I am doing everything I can to give you this opportunity in your future. There is still hope for our planet.

More Messages to the Future

Olá Pessoal,

Com essas ideias simples e força de vontade, podemos tornar um mundo, um lugar melhor para se viver, com menos mortes, menos lixo, transforma-lo em um mundo diferente.

We will look back on our time here and ask, “What did I do?”

If we truly live our present moment, maybe you’ll have a future.

Dear Tomorrow,

I’ll buy only food that I plan to eat before it spoils.

Dear Gabriel,

One day ten or twenty years from now, when you look back from the future, you will be able to clearly see the entire path.

Dear residents of Bedminster, Bristol UK,

We hope we did enough

Dear Students,

I imagine at this point we have dropped our addiction to coal, gas, and oil and that our environment has made a turn for the better with the solar, wind, and other unimagined (at this point) alternative energy choices are in place.

Dear Tomorrow,

The road I learned to ride my bike on, the field where I kicked my first soccer ball, and the park I ate my first ice cream cone at, could all be gone.

Dear humankind of today and tomorrow,

I do wish to contribute as much as I can, maybe even start a ripple effect, where other people will start taking action too and inspire other people too.

To my child,

For the pale blue dot we live on, a precious beauty, I try to help.

Dear Bella,

I promise that I shall continue to do all that is within my capabilities to leave you a world where there is fairness and justice.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to reach out to more people to ditch driving and consider using public transportation. I promise to convince Marin markets that sensible policies in density and mixed use planning will further enhance everyone’s quality of life.

To the Future Generations,

I look at my baby niece today. The newest member of our family, just 3 days old. What will be left for her and her grandchildren?
