DearTomorrow,

But happiness can only be found in other people, not the oil fields or mining mountains.

To my daughter,

We learned about it and knew.
Yet production still grew.

The Amazon, the Virunga, they were of the few left with some of the oldest living species on earth. But right now there’s not much I can do.
Their trees come down and with it any bit of human dignity. It is not the fault of the people that do it, but the system which forces them to.

Society has created a way of life which is based off unlimited wants and limited resources, with some getting all that they want at the cost of others never getting what they need.

Because of human greed.

But happiness can only be found in other people, not the oil fields or mining mountains. Remember that what makes the world beautiful is not what can be made but who can make it better.
