Future Self,

Know that I tried. Others said it wasn’t real, as they ignored the facts; I heeded the warning, and braced for impact. I protested and boycotted the companies that placed profit above people, but they didn’t care. I wrote Congress, yet they came out of their battles with each other just a little too late. I did what I could, I’m sorry it wasn’t enough.

More Messages to the Future

Dear Kaydence,

I will keep trying Kaydence, I promise. And I hope we can look back together in 2050 and smile, knowing that our Earth is healthy once again.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to work with my family and neighbors to reduce carbon output.

I love you Earth.

Dear loved ones in the future,

Even if it pains me to imagine how things are back home in Puerto Rico at the moment, I know things will flourish again. The land will heal, but we need to help it.

Dear tomorrow,

The blue sky will no longer be grey, and the bleak clouds will be vibrant.

To our future generations,

I want you to know that some of us do care and we are working towards a better future for you.

Dear Hannah, Harper and future baby of Ryan and Colleen Lane,

I will not stop fighting for a more sustainable future, your future.

To my child,

For the pale blue dot we live on, a precious beauty, I try to help.

Dear future me,

My hopes have always been to live in a brighter and better generation, where women are respected around the world, human rights are respected and last but not least where animals and mother nature is cared for by us individuals.

Hey kiddo,

I’ll be here to tell you all the ways I have fought for the health of our home, and fought to protect all of the wide, open spaces for you to run in. When you’re old enough, we can fight together.

Dear Jeremy,

We had a lot in common obviously, and our concern for the planet we live on was one of the many things we bonded over.

Dear Eleanor,
