Dear World,

I hope you are enjoying life to the fullest. Take care of each other and help all in need. Protect those who need protection, stand up for the disadvantaged and always fight for equal rights. Climate change is detrimental for our future so stop using single-use plastics, help our beautiful animals find a safe home and take care of the luxurious land as we know it in 2020. Don’t let anything change the beauty of our world. I am always going to advocate for our environment. I hope you do the same.

More Messages to the Future

Dear Eleanor,

You are so small. So innocent. So beautiful. For you and for everyone else, I will try harder.

To earth & its inhabitants,

Its been heavy on my shoulders since I found out about the state of climate woes as a child.

Rachel and Noelle,

I hope in a small way this helps your world.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise I will do whatever I can to protect and preserve mother Earth for future generations.

To my precious children

I want clean air, clean energy and muddy feet for you. I want this for all children.

Pick up your trash wherever you go!

To my dear son Zac,

I promise to raise you as a loving-nature human.

Dear son,

Everyone should be grow at least 100 trees in his lifetime.

Dear Birds,

will continue championing land preservation and the restoration of woodland, prairie and wetland habitats. I will not stop advocating for “bird friendly” legislation to make cities safer for your passage.

To my great-great grandchildren,

I don’t know your name
or even if you’re alive,
but I’m doing all I can
to make sure you survive.

I’m your great- great grandmother
who lived a century ago
in a world far different
from the one you must know.

Dear Tomorrow,

I’m not allowed to talk about climate change around family; as my mom warned me, “climate change is not something that people think about in Mississippi.” But I’m worried for my family’s future.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to reach out to more people to ditch driving and consider using public transportation. I promise to convince Marin markets that sensible policies in density and mixed use planning will further enhance everyone’s quality of life.
