Dear future me,

It’s not bad to take advantage of the things given to you, but do take into consideration how you take advantage of it. The actions that you make will affect the future, so make wise decisions on how you go about life. I’m hoping that at this point in your life, you and your family have reduced your carbon footprint. I also hope that the world you are living in is more diverse and green than what it’s currently like in 2017.

Chers Enfants,

Chers Enfants,

Dear Tomorrow,

Be the person who shows up. Be the person who continues to advocate for change because change is possible – it is possible in the most partisan of politics.

Dear James,

More importantly, what are we doing to better our planet and everyone who lives in it?

My grandchildren,

I promise to do my very best to educate your parents as best I can.

Anya,

All you can do is your best. You can encourage the same in others. You can admit your mistakes and those of your ancestors. You can learn from them, and help however you can. I’ll do the same. I promise.

Hey kiddo,

I’ll be here to tell you all the ways I have fought for the health of our home, and fought to protect all of the wide, open spaces for you to run in. When you’re old enough, we can fight together.

Dear You Tomorrow,

What we failed to do, at least early on, was to see how important it was to put those solutions together. To combine into a way forward.

Dear Lincoln,

I wanted to let you know that in 2019 that there were real struggles with the health of our planet.

Dear me,

Remember how passionate you felt at 20, I hope you keep that passion in you and are still working on climate 30 years from now.

Dear Me,

Today, I promise to keep my spaces clean and my environment cleaner.

Dear Tripp,

I promise to do my part, supporting federal legislation to protect our earth while starting small with projects at home.

Dear Rosie,

But when you are reading this years from now, by the light of a solar powered lamp, know that your dad, mom and millions of others who burned brightly with love for our kids did what we could, when we knew the stakes.
