Dear future generations,

I hope that in the future we are able to preserve our Earth. That we can clean up the trash that litters the planet, that we can prevent species from going extinct, and keep our oceans clean. I hope that there are enough people that care and are willing to their part to preserve Earth. I hope that in the future you can go outside and see nature, not just buildings, and streets filled with trash. I hope that this generation, and the next to come can help save this beautiful planet that we all share.

More Messages to the Future

Dear Tara,

I am sitting in a classroom thinking about you. Which is rare for me. I hope that our family has taken some initiative to do something about changing society instead of building robots and large houses.

I promise to plant more flowers.

To my Dad,

I hope on this Father’s Day, my 24th birthday, and the rest of days, we remember that the most basic part of life is living happy with the ones we love. Acting every day against climate change will allow us to keep that simple piece of humanity.

Dear child,

The journey of humanity does not take us to Mars like the world now likes to believe. It takes us home to our true self where there is no separate self. Where we are all one. You know all this. Look after yourself my child, look after your brother, your friends, your children, all the animals and the whole planet. Love them like there is no tomorrow.

Dear Future Self,

It was 2020, the year I realized that life is fragile—not just mine, but the entire planet—through immense consumption, pollution, greediness, ignorance, false bliss. This wasn’t the way I wanted to live my life, so I promise to actively make the change.

Dear me,

Remember how passionate you felt at 20, I hope you keep that passion in you and are still working on climate 30 years from now.

Happy 34th birthday my son.

To laugh at our efforts as they were on such a small scale, too small some would say to make a difference, and then smile when we think about the number families just like ours that did the same thing.

Dear Ellie,

My heart is an ocean of love for all the children facing a life of climate catastrophe.

I pledge to use less plastic.

Dear fellow human,

May my tomorrow include more attention to these details so that you know that I do care.

Dear Future Self,

I hope you got your dream job of using your business degree to reduce co2 emissions and promote sustainable energy.

Dear Tomorrow,

I will encourage composting at work.
