To the next generation,

I am a vegetarian, which is helpful for the environment. Lots of other people are becoming it too, which is great! People are planting trees and helping the planet. We are trying to avoid the extinction of animals, and using electric cars, or no cars (I don’t need a car, and I’m sure lots of other people don’t either.) We are trying to use factories less, and pollution to prevent ice from melting in the arctic, and sea levels from rising, which is global warming.

More Messages to the Future

Dear Nuriel, Eliran, and Rotem,

Sometimes I think we will never make it, but I know we must keep trying.

Dear grandchild,

There is a place on this planet called the Amazon, and I don’t mean the online shopping site (is that still a thing in your time?).

Future Message to Earth,

Hope there will be no more droughts,
And no more pollution with which we fought,
Regarding every human should be taught,
Ensuring that we uniformly follow these thoughts.

Dear future Child or Grandchild,

Climate is undeniably changing but it is not top priority.

To my unborn children, hey it’s mummy Cris here!

I am witnessing climate change in a way that I do not like, and I do not know how can I stop it.

Dear Lincoln,

I wanted to let you know that in 2019 that there were real struggles with the health of our planet.

Dear Nephew,

I am going to start doing better to have a healthier planet for you to live on.

To my wide-eyed warrioresses,

Since my two daughters emerged into this world, all of my tomorrows have become more dear.

Dear Leo,

Last week I took you to protest the Dakota Access Pipeline.

Dear Tomorrow,

My climate promise is to reduce electricity at home. I will turn off the TV and lights when I’m not in the room.

My dear granddaughter Christy,

My own curiosity and knowing what a caring, aware young woman you are help me override despair.

Dear A and C,

You are growing up in a time of immense change. In the last two years alone, we’ve learned so much about big and important issues including climate change and the systemic racism that runs through our institutions.
