To my grandchildren of today & the future,

I am glad that you have finally received this letter from me. Yes this is your nana here and I wanted to send you a letter from years ago back in 2017 so that I can be with you in the future even if it is just by this. I love you so very much and hope that you have a good environment to live in. I promise to do my best in helping that to happen. I have been in conversation with Leonardo DiCaprio today about how I can help with the climate changes  that are effecting the world today and into the future…your future. I have joined the movements to help more in areas of nature and design for a better safer happier world to live in. One thing that I ask of you is for you to promise me that you too will your part in making the world better, and its easy. There are simple things you can do which will have an impact. Recycling, using natural resources instead of ways that will damage the air or earth, plant a tree each year, ride a bike. These are ways that you too can help. Join the foundation and give a little if you can to the great causes that helped to save our world and all in it.

Anyway my darlings, I love you so much and your mammas too. There is no place I would rather be that with you all on a thriving happy planet called earth 😀

MUCH love and cuddles from your Nana Janice xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

More Messages to the Future

Dear Future Explorers,

I am often faced with the question: why do I care so much about this pale blue dot that we inhabit?

Dear Tom and Leena,

I want you to only see the beauty in this world; there is so much of it and I will protect this beauty for as long as I am here on this Earth.

Dear Lucy,

The clock ticks, time passes, and the earth and all of its inhabitants move closer to dangerous boundaries we can dimly discern but cannot see clearly.

Dear Peyton and Lucas,

I want you to continue to enjoy bright, beautiful, blue skies, gigantic shady trees, chirping birds, scampering squirrels, sparkling creeks and all that this amazing world has to offer!

Dear Future,

I asked you, the future , to help us as well, to preserve our only planet that can give us life, that can let us watch anime, go to the beach, smell flowers, run through the meadow, listen to our songs, be in a concert, and let us live.

Dear Students,

My act of love will be to use all the power I have, during the rest of my life, to stop climate change.

My dear Honeys,

I think every parent believes that their child’s future is worth protecting – because I know the power of this force in me and what I am willing to do.

Dear X—, Dear A—,

As with our struggles to eliminate police brutality, as with hate crimes, so it is with climate change – there are actually a lot of people out there who care.

Dear Samuel, Willa, and Ben,

To the core of my being, and only through the power of community, I will honor the voices of the youth who are pleading, “Don’t burn my future.” Samuel, Willa, and Ben, your little voices I know, will join that chorus soon enough.

Dear Future Generations,

Dear Future Generations,

People of tomorrow,

Your path will only be as clear tomorrow as we have made it for you today.

Dear Ryan,

I hope that you start doing things that will help the world.
