to my grandchildren,

The most important are 100% by 2050 renewable energy because the pollution created from the burning of fossil fuels kills millions of people every year. It could be that before 2030 80% were renewable and clean energy at 2050 100%.

If the world moves to 100% of wind, water and solar energy, it would be:

Eliminate 4.6 million premature deaths caused by air pollution per year around the world.

Save 22.8 trillion dollars in annual health costs by 2050 worldwide.

Avoid more than 60,000 premature deaths a year only in the United States.

More Messages to the Future

Meus filhos,

Devemos conservar nosso planeta. Mas, para se fazer isso, temos que fazer isso juntos. Todos os seres humanos devem estar voltados para cuidar bem do lar em que vivemos e do presente que Deus nos deu para viver: a Terra.

Dear Child,

Hope we get to have that snowball fight I always dreamed we’d have.

Dear Tomorrow,

My promise is to continue to dedicate my life, my business, and my future to creating cultures that embrace environmental action not only for our own good, but the good of the countless other species hurting from climate change.

Dear Future Generations,

I promise to make as many changes to my life as possible to make yours as great as mine.

To My Friends, Family and Future Grandchildren,

I realize my reflection of the past, current and future state of the environment paints a grim and pessimistic picture, but I feel optimistic in our ability to turn planet Earth’s fate around if we all work together and commit to making a change.

Dear Gorasia descendants,

I will do all that I can, and hope my fellow inhabitants join my pursuit, to nurture this planet.

Dear Maggie and Lily,

I want you to always fearlessly swim in water free of pollution and debris.

Dear My Future Children, Scientists or Not,

Do not ignore science, no matter how often politics may try to swing it in one direction or another.

To my Dad,

I hope on this Father’s Day, my 24th birthday, and the rest of days, we remember that the most basic part of life is living happy with the ones we love. Acting every day against climate change will allow us to keep that simple piece of humanity.

Dear Mitch JR,

I think we need to restructure how we are growing food, move towards renewables and start more extensive conservation work.

Dear Nuriel, Eliran, and Rotem,

Sometimes I think we will never make it, but I know we must keep trying.

Children of mine,

The ark that is
humanity
is slipping
