To My Family,

It is 2019 and climate change, sea level rise, over population, high rates of consumption of natural resources and single use products are major topics of discussion. I have reduced my use of single-use plastics by using silicone, metal and paper straws as a substitution. I have quit buying bottles water and invested in a PURfilter. I am taking small steps in my daily life in an attempt to improve the quality of life for future generations and our Earth. I try to share my opinions and ideas with you all in hopes that you will see the small impact that you can have on reducing the unsustainable ways of the world. I promise to continue taking the small steps that hopefully lead to a big change.

More Messages to the Future

Our Promise

I will turn my gas transmission into an electric car!

Dear Brady,

I will work everyday to combat climate change for your today, for your tomorrow!

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise I will only use renewable energy.

To Annika, Anders, Stella, Eva, and Mickey,

In writing to you, I realize that I don’t want you to be hard on yourself if you choose to not make this your cause. But it is mine, so I hope that you hold me accountable to some of what I wrote here.

Dear Eleanor,

You are so small. So innocent. So beautiful. For you and for everyone else, I will try harder.

Vitória,

Antes de realizar qualquer ação pense no meio ambiente para que suas atitudes sejam pautadas na sustentabilidade. Assim o seu pensar e agir localmente poderão resvalar na escala global.

Dear Tara,

Each of us only has so much power and the problem is HUGE, but I worked at this every day.

My dear granddaughter Christy,

My own curiosity and knowing what a caring, aware young woman you are help me override despair.

Dear Kids of the Future,

My wish for all of you is that the people of the present wake up and are able to change their habits.

Dear Future,

I asked you, the future , to help us as well, to preserve our only planet that can give us life, that can let us watch anime, go to the beach, smell flowers, run through the meadow, listen to our songs, be in a concert, and let us live.

Dear Nuriel, Eliran, and Rotem,

Sometimes I think we will never make it, but I know we must keep trying.

Dear You Tomorrow,

What we failed to do, at least early on, was to see how important it was to put those solutions together. To combine into a way forward.
