To my children,

Hi, my children.

How is the world like right now? I hope you can protect the environment as much as possible. We plant trees now. In the future, green plants will bring us many benefits. In the hot summer, we can go to the big tree to enjoy the cool; when the wind is blowing, the leaves will block the dust; after a rain, the air will become extra fresh.

More Messages to the Future

Future Self & Ka’iulani,

We promise to reduce the amount of carbon we use on a daily basis.

Dear Tomorrow,

I’m not allowed to talk about climate change around family; as my mom warned me, “climate change is not something that people think about in Mississippi.” But I’m worried for my family’s future.

Dear Tara,

I am sitting in a classroom thinking about you. Which is rare for me. I hope that our family has taken some initiative to do something about changing society instead of building robots and large houses.

My dear Honeys,

I think every parent believes that their child’s future is worth protecting – because I know the power of this force in me and what I am willing to do.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to never use a plastic straw.

Dear future me,

I am 19 years old, and I am angry.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to ditch all the natural gas and go all electric with my home!

Dear Alba:

There is still a lot of beauty and I will do what I can to keep it from slipping away.

My Dear Paloma,

I’m going to commit to raising you with your eyes open. Being aware as much as we can, how to better our environment together.

dear tomorrow,

I hope that the state of the environment becomes a part of everyday discourse.

Dear Ari and Levi,

Luckily, we have figured out ways to build things without making the air dirty, and we are trying very hard to get more people to switch over to this new way as fast as we can.

Dear Future Me,

I promise that I will change my behavior to benefit our trees.
