Future Generation,

Being able to go out and see the world with no worry is an extremely wonderful thing. Lately our world has been having problems with pollution and loss of natural resources. If these problems keep occuring their will be no way of going and seeing the world. It is up to your generation (if it’s not too late) to change ways of the world by keeping it clean and natural. Trust me, it’s worth it.

More Messages to the Future

To my dear son Zac,

I promise to raise you as a loving-nature human.

To My Grandchildren,

It’s my hope that the following will be helpful as you navigate your futures.  These are the confessions of a climate activist:

Dear Gabriel,

When the worst consequences of climate change still feel far away today, or the barriers to acting on climate change seem steep today, I do not think about today. I think about you, and your world when you are my age.

Dear Finley,

I wonder if in 2050 we will be looking at a future where fear from the changes at hand has caused people to hate rather than love and provide hope. Perhaps in that world we will we no longer comprehend the biblical texts in a meaningful way. Will climate change be the end of the epoch of God?

Dear Tomorrow,

My climate action is to educate youth to create solutions for energy efficiency and conservation opportunities.

To My Future Self,

This lead me to my final project, which focused on reforming the education system to incorporate sustainability classes into the current curriculum.

Our Promise

I will turn my gas transmission into an electric car!

Dear Tomorrow,

Don’t use plastic straws!

Dear Ellie,

My heart is an ocean of love for all the children facing a life of climate catastrophe.

Dear Tripp,

I promise to do my part, supporting federal legislation to protect our earth while starting small with projects at home.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to drive less and walk more.

Dear Before The Flood team,

We can all be aware and sensitized to the problem, so that we are ready to embrace the solutions that will come our way. In doing so, we can all be part of the solution.
