Dear Tomorrow,

Take advantage of the resources that are available to you. Do not think to yourself that you cannot make an impact because you are only one person. The power of one is greater than the power of none. Start to make environmentally conscious decisions now, so later on you are not telling yourself I wish I had started earlier. Apply that to everything you do in your life, take advantage and live in the moment, so you can live in a better tomorrow. When you first get your license, I know what it’s like to have your friends in the car and you want to drive fast to look cool. It’s not worth it, you’re burning way more gas to only be a few minutes early, at the risk of your own and your friends lives. At one point in your life you will tell your 20 year old broke self, “Damn, I wish I bought a car that didn’t eat up so much gas, so I could have more money to go out with my friends.” Get the environmentally friendly car, it will make a huge difference on your wallet, and you can feel GOOD about where you want to go by knowing you are making an impact!

More Messages to the Future

To the wonderful children of our family – Elayna, Julianna, and James –

There is no issue more important to your future and your friends’ future than stemming climate change.

Rachel and Noelle,

I hope in a small way this helps your world.

Dear my future child,

I promise you, I am going to do everything I can to save this planet for you. I won’t let you down, I swear.

Dear grandkids,

I believe this fusion of ecology and economy backed by the digital technology is our great achievement.

Dear future me,

I am 19 years old, and I am angry.

Dear Ari and Levi,

Luckily, we have figured out ways to build things without making the air dirty, and we are trying very hard to get more people to switch over to this new way as fast as we can.

Dear Future,

“I knew you would want to know how the future turned out. You got so anxious about climate change as we grew older.  By coming back, I thought I could help you with that.”

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to be creative – make art!

Dear ACS, LG, CM, MCD, AH, MS, AS, GL, and ERD,

I commit to demanding that politicians that want my vote, my time, my substantial help and expertise are people who seek to address climate change seriously and talk about it boldly.

Dear James,

More importantly, what are we doing to better our planet and everyone who lives in it?

Dear Kaydence,

I will keep trying Kaydence, I promise. And I hope we can look back together in 2050 and smile, knowing that our Earth is healthy once again.

Dear Leo,

Last week I took you to protest the Dakota Access Pipeline.
