Dear Tomorrow,

I am urgently concerned about climate change. Nothing hurts me more than the thought that you may never be able to see the beauty in this world that I have seen. Because of this, I am dedicating my life to making a positive impact and protecting our natural resources. I have made personal changes to reduce the impact of climate change and I hope to make nationwide or even global changes in the future. I want to leave you a safe and healthy place to raise your own family. I hope this finds you well, and that you continue to treat this planet with the utmost respect. After all, it’s all we have.

More Messages to the Future

Dear Evan,

We want your future family to enjoy the same beautiful places we enjoyed.

Our Shared Promise

I will act today so you may have a healthy earth to live on.

To my fellow adventurers,

Don’t stop looking for adventures.

Querida Tainah,

Quero que você beba água pura, coma alimentos sem agrotóxicos e que sua casinha branca com varanda, seja voltada para o leste, onde o sol vai nascer.

Dear Tomorrow,

My climate promise is to stop using electricity too much.

Dear Levon,

I hope, as your father, I’ve done enough to instill within you how science is a wonderful adventure.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise I will take short showers, eat less meat, and buy local more often.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise composting in my house and getting an EV for my first car.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise I will only use renewable energy.

Dear Future Self,

It was 2020, the year I realized that life is fragile—not just mine, but the entire planet—through immense consumption, pollution, greediness, ignorance, false bliss. This wasn’t the way I wanted to live my life, so I promise to actively make the change.

Dear Jamie and Jason,

My inspiration was the two of you. It started with thinking about the world you were inheriting and what your future was going to be like. But then you taught me how important it is to listen to you – to listen to young people.

Dear Madeline, Ava, and Harper,

What I wish most for you girls is that the care you have shown each other would extend to the big wide world around you.
