Dear son,

Sorry that you have to experience and grow up in the world past generations created. People’s greed and selfishness may have ruined the beautiful nature that I got to see but you may never see. I want you to know that we tried our best to fix the mistakes of my parent’s generation, but it was not enough. I grew up to watching people try to save the rainforest and the sea turtles, but you might not ever see one in your life time. There were just too many problems going on in people’s lives to focus on the environment. Hopefully your generation will be smart enough to find a way to fix the problems we made.

More Messages to the Future

Dear Great Grandchildren,

If you are reading this, you probably inherited my fascination with ancestry, and the way it uncovers incredible stories of unlikely survival.

Dear little one,

In the coming months, we plan to complete a full assessment of our environmental impact online. We hope to discover our biggest areas of resource consumption, learn what we can do better, and create an action plan to improve over the next year.

To My Dear Grandchildren,

Be assured that in the upcoming election, I will cast my vote for your future – for elected officials that recognize climate risks and are willing to promote and vote for legislation that will stop environmental damage and begin to heal our planet.

Future Message to Earth,

Hope there will be no more droughts,
And no more pollution with which we fought,
Regarding every human should be taught,
Ensuring that we uniformly follow these thoughts.

Dear child,

The journey of humanity does not take us to Mars like the world now likes to believe. It takes us home to our true self where there is no separate self. Where we are all one. You know all this. Look after yourself my child, look after your brother, your friends, your children, all the animals and the whole planet. Love them like there is no tomorrow.

To my Beloved Future Children,

Be fearless – do not be afraid to talk to each other and do not be afraid to fail.

Dear X—, Dear A—,

As with our struggles to eliminate police brutality, as with hate crimes, so it is with climate change – there are actually a lot of people out there who care.

Dear Tomorrow,

I feel optimistic for you, tomorrow. I can feel a shift happening already.

Olá minha querida filha Julia,

Muita Coragem e força para você enfrentar todos os desafios que virão, pois são com eles que crescemos.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to not waste food and eat locally grown food.

Dear Victoria, sugar pie honey bunch, chiquita loquita,

How can I look at your bright eyes and light dance and tell you we are facing a war?

Dear Madeleine,

First of all I hope we succeeded in our dream that yours is a better world than the world of 2021. Today, the forests are burning, the sea levels are rising and wild weather is everywhere. But we are working hard and I’m confident we will succeed.
