I wish for you both that another kind of life has been discovered, one of peace, moderation and concern for all life.

Dear Nova and Remi,

I am doing my best and will continue to do my best to not participate in the free enterprise system of economics. I do this because I have found that it is the concept of economic growth that has been the main driver to all our trouble with climate change and other environmental issues that are very dangerous to your future. I wish for you both that another kind of life has been discovered, one of peace, moderation and concern for all life. I pledge that I will not seek to be rich, or seek to have possessions that do not have anything to do with sustaining fundamental life. I will seek instead to find my joy in the beauty of our good Earth. Peace and love to you both.

Danny

More Messages to the Future

To my future children,

I am doing everything I can because I want the footprint that I leave behind to be my feet in the sand on a beach and not a carbon one.

To the future generations,

I hope that you all can enjoy the Smokey Mountains in your lifetime too and that they look how they did back in 2017 when I saw them.

Olá minhas Florzinhas!!!

Minhas florzinhas é isso…. vamos a batalha , procurar se informar sobre empresas que são amigas do meio ambiente, tentar banir as empresas que poluem nosso ar, nossos rios.

Dear Evie of 2050,

I can feel the change happening — many people are working to transform the world.

Caro Giovanni,

Dobbiamo aiutare nel conservare il bello che c’è nel nostro pianeta.

Our Shared Promise

I will act today so you may have a healthy earth to live on.

Dear Samuel, Willa, and Ben,

To the core of my being, and only through the power of community, I will honor the voices of the youth who are pleading, “Don’t burn my future.” Samuel, Willa, and Ben, your little voices I know, will join that chorus soon enough.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to shop at more farmer’s markets.

Dear Ryan,

I hope that you start doing things that will help the world.

To My Grandchildren,

It’s my hope that the following will be helpful as you navigate your futures.  These are the confessions of a climate activist:

Dear Tomorrow and Dearest Lex,

I do believe that the collective power of everyone’s best efforts can curb the worst effects of climate change, and provide you with a more stable and secure future.

Dear Future,

“I knew you would want to know how the future turned out. You got so anxious about climate change as we grew older.  By coming back, I thought I could help you with that.”
