Dear my future children,

Sorry that my generation leaves such a polluted and depleted planet. I hope a lot of things for you. Hopefully, climate change and plastic pollution will be stopped in your world. Hopefully, your generation will have a consciousness for nature and its protection. Also, I hope that you can learn a lesson from my generation (for example from books or newspapers) and do it better. At the end of the day, I hope that you are happy and healthy.

Be the change you want to see in the world.

Don’t stop looking for adventures.

Queridos amigos sobrevivientes.

Quiero pensar que ustedes serán la diferencia, que tomaran más actos sobre el asunto y no dejaran que nada los detenga.

Dear Nephew,

I am going to start doing better to have a healthier planet for you to live on.

Dear Beloved Children,

As time progresses, there is hope that value will be placed on all living organisms, including humans, plants, and animals. Life will move at a slower pace, and being on your own time and moving at your individual pace will be the typical way of life. I consider this way of life good living, and I hope that future generations will live on this earth as it was once intended to live in peace and harmony.

To my beloved granddaughters, Margaret and Caroline,

Growing up in Germany, I often wondered what my parents had done to oppose the Nazi regime in the 1930’s that led to WWII.  I was so disappointed when I found out how passive they had been. For me, this was formative.

Dear Tomorrow,

Don’t use plastic straws!

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise I will do whatever I can to protect and preserve mother Earth for future generations.
