Dear Mary,

I promise to begin implementing every-day practices to help preserve the environment. I want to start with making a compost bin so I can make my own natural fertilizer for plants. I also hope to begin looking into masters programs for marine conservation/ general conservation.

More Messages to the Future

Dear San Bernardino Nat’l Forest Bears,

I’ll keep the trees on my property so you have a place to hide and climb.

To my sons,

I’m voting with climate change as a top priority. I’ve tried to teach you boys that we need to clean up after ourselves and take care of the earth. I promise to continue doing these actions and more, for your sake.

Dear friend,

I will fight for this cause and I will never ever give up because we, the youngsters, are the hope.

Dear Future Self,

Although this is hard for me I promise I will start to consume more chicken rather than red meat but also more vegetable since they are less harsh on our environment.

For a child I am yet to know,

We are fighting for a shared cause, inspired by our strong and unwavering dedication to preserve the beauty and wonder of our natural world for our children, our grandchildren and their children, and for countless generations to come.

Dear Society,

The catastrophic wildfires that have affected California in 2018 are just the start of what our planet will witness.

To the future generations,

I will stand on the streets, in the courts, and in the schools to encourage awareness and empathy for the earth.

Dear future Phoebe,

I also beseech you to remember 2018 as the year you learned not to be despondent, fatalistic, and nihilistic.

Dear Owen and Vivian,

Here’s the biggest secret: I KNOW it will have. We may not realize how, but we have changed the world.

To My Future Children and Grandchildren…

It affects everyone. It does not spare the rich or the privileged, although those systemically oppressed and with less access to a healthy environment are at a higher risk for climate change effects.
