Dear grandchildren,

I am glad to write this letter to you and wish you encounter the environment in great condition. As I am writing in the year 2020, the environmental condition is not so great. We are living under stress and bad health condition because of the COVID19. A virus that infects the respiratory system and vital, especially for the elderly. Due to global warming, disease season is longer and the virus ‘s life is longer as a result, people are suffering more. I hope this will end soon.

Global warming has gotten worse and many changes have affected ice in the arctic and poles. Continental ice is melting and sea level is rising. People are in danger and will need to move to a safer place. The effort is going now to save the environment, especially that the harm is being noticed. Fires, floods, volcanic eruptions, and temperature increase, diseases, and longer disease season have been noticed increasing.

Many students are studying the environment trying to make a change. If they can’t, I hope you can make the change.

I hope that we manage to change the system really soon, while there is still time. So that you are not left with the mess, and trying to fix something that you didn’t cause. I hope we figured out a way to be kind, and caring for others who will suffer more than us. A way to let go of the greed and look at ways we can help others rather than take from them.
