Dear Generation Alpha,

If you are still alive today, how are you? Have you saved the Earth? Have you found a new planet to re-locate to? If you have please don’t mess it up this time. If you guys haven’t found a new place or haven’t fixed the environment, I promise you that you don’t have much time. By now it has to be too late to try to fix it. Spend as much time as you can with your families, don’t fight with you’re parents, work hard in school, so that when you die your spirit can see that you had a life in the human world.

I wish you the best,
THE WATCHER

More Messages to the Future

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to only use metal straws and reusable cups.

Dear Nafia,

I also hope that your previous prayers have been answered. The way you wanted to create green jobs for your fellow city dwellers have been fulfilled already.

Dear grandchild,

There is a place on this planet called the Amazon, and I don’t mean the online shopping site (is that still a thing in your time?).

Dear Leo,

Last week I took you to protest the Dakota Access Pipeline.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to change the culture of my school.

Dear Corey,

I promise to do all within my power to create a world that’s safe for you and your generation.

Dear future generations,

It’s never too late to make a difference. Our actions have very real consequences. We can educate ourselves, learn from our mistakes, and take action. We can hold companies like big oil and big plastic accountable for their negative impacts on the environment. We can educate ourselves and others about what causes climate change and what actions we as individuals can take to lower our carbon footprints.

Dear Soren,

In this world that is changing before our eyes, I believe that is our task: standing unflinchingly on the side of love, connecting with others, and forging ahead together.

Dear Erica and Matthew,

I want you to be able to bring your kids to Tahoe and experience the same clarity that you had as a child.

I will recycle stuff I found.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to put in a rain catcher tank.
