Dear future yng,

We have not been great as a society to this beautiful world. Not only mine but all before us. We were just the first to really realize it. Everyone is freaking out and trying to start being more eco-friendly. I just hope it’s not too late and we are able to make a big enough change. I hope that my one day kids and maybe even one-day grandkids get to experience snow. Not even just snow, snow everywhere as it was for me.

More Messages to the Future

Dear Sadie,

You are young and have a rich future ahead of you. I am retired and aiming for a high quality of cultural life and comfort with whatever time remains to me. I do not want to see a world whose elders sacrifice your future for their short-term needs and personal gain. So it’s up to you and me to speak out.

Dear Brothers & Sisters All Across Mother Earth,

I promise to wholeheartedly live my life with an awareness of my personal impact on our communities and our planet.

I pledge to use less plastic.

Dear fantastic,

We as the human race are smarter than this struggle at hand and need to rise above large corporate interests and confusion on this topic.

To my Maria and her children,

I have to tell you something: it is so hard to keep our life “green” for now, but we still keep trying.

Dear Abigail and Olivia,

What stories will you tell them about our generation? Will we be heroes or villains?

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to buy organic food and run more and bike more! (I could use the exercise.)

To my brother’s children,

We wondered about how we might be able to eliminate plastics from our day to day routines, and recycled literally everything. We were amazing, you should have seen us. Now and again though, we wondered if these were the right questions.

Dear Grandchild,

I now feel less overwhelmed and powerless, and I am determined to fight for our planet and your future.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to work with my family and neighbors to reduce carbon output.

Dear my future loved ones,

I hope that humans can live harmoniously with the earth.

The gift for next generation,

To save the big world, perhaps, we should change the mind from myself to my small family to my community.
