Dear future self (Maya),

I hope we will all make it from this battle against life or death, and it can take place in many different forms, such as climate change, covid-19, plastic pollution. I know that we will collect the courage to take all of this mess away. I hope economical jobs have changed, and that this causes people to really under stand what they are doing, and take responsibility to reverse it.

More Messages to the Future

My darling girls,

I can be brave enough to wake up.

Dear Tomorrow

Colin

Dear Nuriel, Eliran, and Rotem,

Sometimes I think we will never make it, but I know we must keep trying.

Dear Rowan and Anaka,

If we could talk, I would not be able to bear your gaze as you ask: How could you, the people in a position to change the course of climate change, fail to act?

To My Dear Grandchildren,

Be assured that in the upcoming election, I will cast my vote for your future – for elected officials that recognize climate risks and are willing to promote and vote for legislation that will stop environmental damage and begin to heal our planet.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to stop using a plastic straw.

To my great-great grandchildren,

I don’t know your name
or even if you’re alive,
but I’m doing all I can
to make sure you survive.

I’m your great- great grandmother
who lived a century ago
in a world far different
from the one you must know.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to pick up trash at every beach I visit, use metal straws, take quick showers.

For those who come after us,

This is for the countless children I already see suffering the impact of climate change around the world, and the generations to follow.

My Dear Paloma,

I’m going to commit to raising you with your eyes open. Being aware as much as we can, how to better our environment together.

Dear X—, Dear A—,

As with our struggles to eliminate police brutality, as with hate crimes, so it is with climate change – there are actually a lot of people out there who care.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to never use a plastic straw.
