Dear Future Self,

I hope you are still pushing and believing in yourself and have kept friendships and kindled new ones. I promise to keep aiming to inspire others. You are more powerful than you realise more loving than you know and more courageous than you believe. Anywho, climate change is it still a big issue? Everyday life is dying on this Earth because of our actions. I pledge to continue to love my Earth and take care of it in any way, shape, or form.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to only use metal straws and reusable cups.

Dear Maddie,

Please know that I have tried very hard to be one of those people, to even make the smallest of changes in order to improve the world for you and your future.

Dear Rowan & Tristan,

I promise to do everything I can as a daughter to our great Mother Earth to protect her wildlife and trees.

Dear Kids of the Future,

My wish for all of you is that the people of the present wake up and are able to change their habits.

Dear Lincoln,

I wanted to let you know that in 2019 that there were real struggles with the health of our planet.

To my precious children

I want clean air, clean energy and muddy feet for you. I want this for all children.

My grandchildren,

I promise to do my very best to educate your parents as best I can.

To Annika, Anders, Stella, Eva, and Mickey,

In writing to you, I realize that I don’t want you to be hard on yourself if you choose to not make this your cause. But it is mine, so I hope that you hold me accountable to some of what I wrote here.

Dear loved ones in the future,

Even if it pains me to imagine how things are back home in Puerto Rico at the moment, I know things will flourish again. The land will heal, but we need to help it.

Dear Daughter,

Even when contemplating huge global-historical issues — especially then — it’s important to stay grounded in the present time and place, the specific here and now, and the minute affairs of everyday interpersonal relations.

To my dearest Gabriel,

What gives me hope is what is yet to come, what you will experience in your lifetime.

Dear Tomorrow,

Love, help and build a future in unison that benefits and protects the whole world.
