Dear Future Self,

As of today April 23, 2020, you are 21 years old. You now have more potential than ever to do something about climate change. Take action now, start by making small changes like, eating less red meat and more fish. It’ll be better for you health wise anyway. In a few years you’ll have your own family that you will teach ways in which you can help Earth. Climate change is something serious, not everyone believes it, but you do. It’s 2020 and the U.S barely even does anything to combat climate change. But every small change counts and makes a difference.

My promise is to take action and be one of the people that will make an impact on Earth by reducing the toxins that affect climate change. I will do that by watching what I eat and incorporating more fruits and veggies, I will be managing my online ordering and not order from long distance countries, I will recycle plastics, and try to avoid any type of plastic utensils.

By taking action now, you will be giving amazing opportunities for future generations to explore the Earth you once did when you were younger and now. In the coming years, I hope to see that Earth has blooming seasons, the arctic poles once again have layers of thick ice to go see and tour, the rainforest will have all of its rare species and most importantly Earth will be able to stick around for us for many years to come. See you soon.. 🙂

More Messages to the Future

Dear Future Family,

As I’m sitting here trying to think of the best words to say to you all, I am thinking of one major thing: that I can only hope that you all get to experience the incredible beauty created by our planet.

dear future people (:

I am writing this message to you guys. When I look outside my window today, I see a beautiful world that others and myself call “home sweet home.” The trees glimmering in warm sunlight, the air stirring a cool breeze, and the water flowing down rivers are parts of our home Mother Earth.

Meus filhos,

Espero que vcs tb encontrem ,de alguma forma,um caminho para colaborarem com Nossa Mãe Terra, bjs eternos.

Dear Me of Tomorrow,

I plan to plant more things this spring, as we do every year in our garden.

Dear Lalo,

I hope whatever happens, whatever I can’t imagine that you may face, that you will continue to seek light.

For those who come after us,

This is for the countless children I already see suffering the impact of climate change around the world, and the generations to follow.

To my precious grandchildren, Emma, Maya, Maddie and Will,

With love and a great hope for the future, a future that will be healthy and sustainable for you, my precious grandchildren.

Dear Tristan,

I am doing this to protect you, the food, water, air and biodiversity of a country that I love.

To my daughter and son,

Surrounded by scientists who shared my fears and visions, I often had a hard time to accept that outside our small community climate change received marginal attention.

Dear Nuriel, Eliran, and Rotem,

Sometimes I think we will never make it, but I know we must keep trying.

Dear AC,

I think a lot about where the right place to live is.

Dear Jamie and Jason,

My inspiration was the two of you. It started with thinking about the world you were inheriting and what your future was going to be like. But then you taught me how important it is to listen to you – to listen to young people.
