Dear Future Generations,

I hope everyone that was here before you took charge and decided to make a difference to protect this planet, or at least tried. I hope you get to observe all the beautiful creatures that live among us and you get to experience the serenity that comes with being surrounded by nature. I hope people realize that conserving nature is more important than all the materialistic things that are glorified. I promise to do everything that’s in my power to save our beautiful planet.

More Messages to the Future

To earth & its inhabitants,

Its been heavy on my shoulders since I found out about the state of climate woes as a child.

Dear Lucy,

The clock ticks, time passes, and the earth and all of its inhabitants move closer to dangerous boundaries we can dimly discern but cannot see clearly.

To My Future Children,

I hope by 2050, our society has taken initiative to be producing energy solely through renewable sources.

To Annika, Anders, Stella, Eva, and Mickey,

In writing to you, I realize that I don’t want you to be hard on yourself if you choose to not make this your cause. But it is mine, so I hope that you hold me accountable to some of what I wrote here.

To My Future Nephews,

I want you to see those corn fields in the north, the beautiful beaches down in Florida, and the stars in the woods at night.

Dear Elliot and Alana,

But being truthful, I know we are not yet on the path that will lead to the change that is needed; but it is visible.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to ride a bike and take a smart train.

Dear World,

I vow that I will try to make a difference every day, so that you may enjoy the world as I have.

Dear Rowan & Tristan,

I promise to do everything I can as a daughter to our great Mother Earth to protect her wildlife and trees.

Dear grandkids,

I believe this fusion of ecology and economy backed by the digital technology is our great achievement.

Dear Future Today,

Here in California we’re starting to recognize our climate changing the natural world around us.

Dear Future,

I asked you, the future , to help us as well, to preserve our only planet that can give us life, that can let us watch anime, go to the beach, smell flowers, run through the meadow, listen to our songs, be in a concert, and let us live.
