Dear Future Generation,

I’m not here to talk about climate change or talk about oil spills or how politics bring out the worst in people. I’m here to tell you that you guys need to step up do what my generation didn’t do much of. Stand up for what you guys believe in, fight for what is right no matter the consequence. Help prevent other tragic events from happening before they happen. Don’t be fooled or feel like you need to disregard you thoughts and feelings because people with a “higher power” say to. You were not put on this planet to listen to other people tell you how to live your life. You were put on this planet to make a change and speak up on things that need to be spoken on.

More Messages to the Future

Dear Eleanor,

You are so small. So innocent. So beautiful. For you and for everyone else, I will try harder.

My Dear Grandchildren,

In writing this letter to you, I am searching for ways to make my connection and commitment to you more present in my current experience

Dear future loved ones,

As I sit here and write to you, I’d like to share with you something more horrifying than a few boos – our current home, Earth.

Dear Matthew, Sam, and Sophie,

There is a promise in the Bible: ‘I shall restore the years that the locusts have eaten’ and that points to a promise of complete healing and restoration. But until that comes I intend to do my best to ‘save the planet’ in whatever way I can, and I encourage you to do the same.

Dear Maya, Emilio and Daniel,

We thought that the world was an endless supply of whatever we wanted… I know it sounds hard to believe, but that is the way it was.

Dear You Tomorrow,

What we failed to do, at least early on, was to see how important it was to put those solutions together. To combine into a way forward.

Dear future me,

My hopes have always been to live in a brighter and better generation, where women are respected around the world, human rights are respected and last but not least where animals and mother nature is cared for by us individuals.

Dear grandkids,

I believe this fusion of ecology and economy backed by the digital technology is our great achievement.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to not waste food and eat locally grown food.

dear future children,

As I write this, our world is slowly giving way to climate change.

Dear Kai and Leah,

I want you to feel awestruck like I do. It is important to feel small sometimes, to feel the weight of reality, to recognize the scale of a challenge, to see where you fit and what you are up against. This is the case with climate change.

Dear Annie and Eric,

I hope that this life of good things is not just yours to enjoy, but that you also have decided to fight for others to have this life, too.
