Climate is undeniably changing but it is not top priority.

Dear future Child or Grandchild,

We are currently pumping greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere and not doing too much to stop it. Climate is undeniably changing but it is not top priority to really do anything about it. We see the threat in the near future and what it can do to your generation, but we don’t seem to care about it. We have resource issues and we are struggling to feed our own population. I am doing so much on a personal level to be able to spread the word on this. It is sadly not enough, but i will be there for us because i care about these issues. My schooling is going toward these problems. I know it will be harder for you in the future, but i have no doubt, under the pressure of many lives lost that we will figure it out. Do everything that you can to on a personal level to reduce your waste. Because if everyone lived like a wasteful person, the world would be in way worse shape. Pick up the slack for those who didn’t care now.

More Messages to the Future

Dear Nephew,

I believe i have truly played my part in raising awareness and practical solutions to climate change.

Dear Tristan,

I am doing this to protect you, the food, water, air and biodiversity of a country that I love.

Dear Future Family,

As I’m sitting here trying to think of the best words to say to you all, I am thinking of one major thing: that I can only hope that you all get to experience the incredible beauty created by our planet.

Dear Grown up Alton and Dot,

The most important thing in my life is you, which means that as your mom – I am doing my very best to make sure that when you read this letter, Earth is a cleaner and safer place for you and your children.

Caro Giovanni,

Dobbiamo aiutare nel conservare il bello che c’è nel nostro pianeta.

Dear X—, Dear A—,

As with our struggles to eliminate police brutality, as with hate crimes, so it is with climate change – there are actually a lot of people out there who care.

Dear Amara and Uma,

Maybe you heard about bats? Bats, the carriers of this disease that spread among us like wild fire. I love bats. When I was your age today, sitting in the evening on the back terrace of your grandparent’s home in Ibiza, hundreds of bats would play, dance and sing among the trees.

To the Future Generations,

I look at my baby niece today. The newest member of our family, just 3 days old. What will be left for her and her grandchildren?

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to be creative – make art!

Dear Beloved Children,

As time progresses, there is hope that value will be placed on all living organisms, including humans, plants, and animals. Life will move at a slower pace, and being on your own time and moving at your individual pace will be the typical way of life. I consider this way of life good living, and I hope that future generations will live on this earth as it was once intended to live in peace and harmony.

My darling Cassidy,

I know I need to write this to you, and I don’t want to because it makes me so sad. I have been desperately avoiding my feelings about climate change, for many years, but especially and with greater intensity every year since you were born.

Dear Madeleine,

First of all I hope we succeeded in our dream that yours is a better world than the world of 2021. Today, the forests are burning, the sea levels are rising and wild weather is everywhere. But we are working hard and I’m confident we will succeed.
