Dear Future,

Is there still Ice? Is there still Seasons? Have we made a difference? Today we see the world and take it for granted, our government does not see global climate as a big impact, this year a lot of tragic incidences have happened. I hope you guys have made a difference since 2017 and our air is cleaner than it has ever been. It’s upsetting how much we let environment, nature, creatures/species go as if it was replaceable. Future today I hope we are using the proper resources we need to survive but in a clean way. I would hate to know that my future family is struggling more than ever because change didn’t want to happen. There are so many people that really want to change and make a difference, but as a student and a nobody to society my voice could not be heard, but I hope with this message it somehow makes a difference.

-Always keep the dream alive

More Messages to the Future

Dear little one,

In the coming months, we plan to complete a full assessment of our environmental impact online. We hope to discover our biggest areas of resource consumption, learn what we can do better, and create an action plan to improve over the next year.

Dear Jack,

Right now you are only a little over 5 weeks old, but you have truly changed my whole world. Your Mom and I always say that we thought we loved before you were born, but now that you have come into the world and we met you, our ability to love just expanded exponentially.

To My Dear Children, Jackson Carlo and Stella Jane,

I am a better person because of you, and I want the world to be a better place for you.

Dear child,

The journey of humanity does not take us to Mars like the world now likes to believe. It takes us home to our true self where there is no separate self. Where we are all one. You know all this. Look after yourself my child, look after your brother, your friends, your children, all the animals and the whole planet. Love them like there is no tomorrow.

Dear Daughter,

Tonight at bedtime, you asked, seemingly out of nowhere, “why are the glaciers disappearing?”

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to stop eating beef.

Dear Future Ryan,

I promise to be a knight in the campaign of truth seeking.

To my Beloved Future Children,

Be fearless – do not be afraid to talk to each other and do not be afraid to fail.

Dear me,

Remember how passionate you felt at 20, I hope you keep that passion in you and are still working on climate 30 years from now.

Dear Eleanor,

It seems silly to saddle yourself with guilt for something that hasn’t happened yet. I don’t want to do that. As of today, I don’t really feel guilty. I guess I just want to make sure I keep doing more, so that when you read this, and ask what I’ve done since then, I can still feel good about my efforts.

Dear Tomorrow,

No plastic straws, no water bottles, shop local, no meat.
