Dear Earth,

I have spent my career working towards energy efficiencies. Now I rationalize driving a big-ass truck. I don’t want to rationalize anymore. I love what you have given to me in my 65 years. I want to give you more. I promise to work more sincerely for you. Why? Because you’ve always been what I most enjoy. most love,

More Messages to the Future

Dear grandchild,

There is a place on this planet called the Amazon, and I don’t mean the online shopping site (is that still a thing in your time?).

Dear child,

The journey of humanity does not take us to Mars like the world now likes to believe. It takes us home to our true self where there is no separate self. Where we are all one. You know all this. Look after yourself my child, look after your brother, your friends, your children, all the animals and the whole planet. Love them like there is no tomorrow.

Dear Tomorrow,

The only way to survive it, even if you don’t feel like you’re winning, is to keep your hands on the rope.

To my unborn children, hey it’s mummy Cris here!

I am witnessing climate change in a way that I do not like, and I do not know how can I stop it.

Dear Seamus and Tuva,

So it’s 2050. If the good people are winning the greater struggle, fossil fuels are a shamefully long chapter of the past, and there has been a full scale awakening to the need for only renewable, clean energy.

Our Shared Promise

I will act today so you may have a healthy earth to live on.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise I will encourage everyone to get OUT of their cars and onto public transit.

Dear AC,

I think a lot about where the right place to live is.

My darling Cassidy,

I know I need to write this to you, and I don’t want to because it makes me so sad. I have been desperately avoiding my feelings about climate change, for many years, but especially and with greater intensity every year since you were born.

To My Grandchildren,

It’s my hope that the following will be helpful as you navigate your futures.  These are the confessions of a climate activist:

Chers Enfants,

Chers Enfants,

Querida Tainah,

Quero que você beba água pura, coma alimentos sem agrotóxicos e que sua casinha branca com varanda, seja voltada para o leste, onde o sol vai nascer.
