Dear Earth,

I will try my very best to help the earth as best as I can. I will try to recycle more and turn off lights when it’s not being used. I will reuse things and turn off electronics when not in use. I can take vehicles when transporting that does not pollute the environment such as a bike or a rip-stick.

Sincerely,

Sierra White

More Messages to the Future

Dear people of The Future,

Thank you for reading. Do your part to save the globe.

Minhas lindas,

As causas das mudanças no clima são tão profundas e envolvem tanta gente e tantos lugares.

Dear Kids,

I know it’s long past time to wake up. You deserve a future in which drought, famine, and war are not all your children ever know; the choices my generation makes now will determine your future.

I will recycle stuff I found.

I promise to plant trees and to turn off the lights.

Hallo Clara,

Was wohl der Klimawandel im Jahr 2050 macht? und wer gerade in der Politik ist? Bei uns macht der Klimawandel gerade Vollgas und an der Macht ist Angela Merkel, seit 16 Jahren
What will climate change do in 2050? and who is in politics right now? Climate change is at full throttle here and Angela Merkel has been in power for 16 years.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to ride more and drive less.

Dear tomorrow,

The blue sky will no longer be grey, and the bleak clouds will be vibrant.

Dear Emile and Eloise,

The beauty and majesty of the world of your childhood is as remarkable as the beauty and majesty of mine, but the fragility of your childhood world is so much greater.

To the generation after mine,

But when you encounter that resistance–and you will, regularly–know that you must respond just how we have had to these past 50 years. With love, and sternness, and most of all, courage. Because that is what the resistance fears the most. We who came before you promise that we will do the same while we wait for you. Know that you will never be alone.

Dear Gabriel,

When the worst consequences of climate change still feel far away today, or the barriers to acting on climate change seem steep today, I do not think about today. I think about you, and your world when you are my age.

My dear granddaughter Christy,

My own curiosity and knowing what a caring, aware young woman you are help me override despair.
