Dear daughter,

I hope a lot of things will have changed in 2050, especially the hustle and bustle about climate change. I think we should slowly stop focusing on informing about climate change because by now everybody knows that it exists. We really have to start to do something about it so that in 2050 our earth will still exist at all and so that somebody can read this letter. There are already many aid organisations fighting against climate change and slowly but surely stopping it by planting new trees, for example. Even kindergardens have already shown initiative and planted new trees together with the children. We should all pay attention to our meat consumption and also give up on helping the environment for the sake of the environment.

I hope so much that the future will be saved and that we will still have a beautiful earth in 2050. There are so many beautiful places which should be preserved and which you should also visit to see and experience the beauty of nature.

More Messages to the Future

My dear Honeys,

I think every parent believes that their child’s future is worth protecting – because I know the power of this force in me and what I am willing to do.

Pick up your trash wherever you go!

To my great-great grandchildren,

I don’t know your name
or even if you’re alive,
but I’m doing all I can
to make sure you survive.

I’m your great- great grandmother
who lived a century ago
in a world far different
from the one you must know.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise I will do whatever I can to protect and preserve mother Earth for future generations.

Dear Seamus and Tuva,

So it’s 2050. If the good people are winning the greater struggle, fossil fuels are a shamefully long chapter of the past, and there has been a full scale awakening to the need for only renewable, clean energy.

Filhota,

Espero de verdade saber contribuir para legá-la inteira para você, e que todos saibamos fazer isso em conjunto também.

To my children,

If there is one thing that I taught you it is to be honest in your decisions as they pertain to yourselves and the earth in which you live.

Dear Ellis,

So, dear heart, I am doing everything I can as the situation worsens.

Dear AC,

I think a lot about where the right place to live is.

Dear 2050,

Our planet is crazy. I pledge to be an innovator to make sustainable living real.

Dear old dude Mårten,

I know that the 2019 version of me (today that is) wished and hoped for that I did all within my power to turn the world around without loosing sight on the beauty of being alive.

To the generation after mine,

But when you encounter that resistance–and you will, regularly–know that you must respond just how we have had to these past 50 years. With love, and sternness, and most of all, courage. Because that is what the resistance fears the most. We who came before you promise that we will do the same while we wait for you. Know that you will never be alone.
