Dear Chris…

On December 6th, 2020 you made a promise to take action to ensure a safe and healthy world. By doing this you must force yourself to have those hard conversations with family, friends, and others to cut back on their use in general. As you say sometimes, “Time waits for no man.” You should keep using this same energy towards your fight against climate change not only to protect yourself but future generations on the impacts of climate change. Use your (hopefully) education in medicine to not only promote healthy lives but a healthy world for everyone.

More Messages to the Future

Dear Tomorrow,

And, if this summer has taught me anything, I am content (because I have to be) living in this limbo, this seemingly endless waiting for the opportunity to change, when really the opportunity exists within our very selves all along.

To my children,

I am working with 350.org on shutting down the coal and unconventional gas industries in our country because I cannot think of a more direct way to protect you, the food, water and biodiversity we all love and rely on.

Dear Nafia,

I also hope that your previous prayers have been answered. The way you wanted to create green jobs for your fellow city dwellers have been fulfilled already.

Dear Future,

I asked you, the future , to help us as well, to preserve our only planet that can give us life, that can let us watch anime, go to the beach, smell flowers, run through the meadow, listen to our songs, be in a concert, and let us live.

Dear kids of America,

Please eliminate plastic everything

Dear Oliver,

I am getting your father on board too so that we can double charge this together.

Dear Logan,

I am working every second of my life, with every ounce of my being, to ensure that I am leaving you and your brother a planet that is safe and secure.

Dear Indigenous Persons with Disabilities,

Dear Indigenous Persons with Disabilities,

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to never use a plastic straw.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise I will convince my family to switch their gas appliances to electric.

Dear Chay and Kate,

Don’t ever let anyone tell you your actions don’t matter. Every single thing you do matters. You matter.

Dear Future Me,

I hope that when we look back on these years,  you’ll see that humanity can be good. That we joined together and fixed it because of we don’t, who will?
