Dear children, grandchildren or maybe even great grandchildren,
I don’t really care how long it took for you to find this message but now that you have I guess it’s probably the most important thing. I am writing this on the 5th of March 2017 aged 14 at home in Malta.
I’m sorry if I won’t be able to provide much information on my life but this is more of an apology message just in case my generation doesn’t solve climate change. All I can say is please forgive me and most of my generation for this. We made some mistakes such as electing the 45th president of the USA to be Donald Trump who at the current time doesn’t seem to be doing much for the planet and not pushing ourselves off fossil fuels.
I want you to know that I SINCERELY want you to grow up in a clean GREEN world where we’re finally 100%clean energy. I am sincerely hoping this letter finds you in a world like this. I am taking part in this movement because right here right now I am doing my best for you.
In 2017 we’re still not green and far from it. Some (please forgive me for the language) bastards that run companies which are dependent on fossil fuels and therefore global warming are pushing back the progress of the people that push towards a green, good future. I still have a life ahead of me and I might even have a chance to see this letter myself in the future but all I can say is that a world where the current majority of fossil fuel dependent people want to continue living in is hardly a world at all. Bastards.
But the true evil is not the people who consume the fossil fuels but the people who continue to provide them. My children please do your best to save our planet and therefore yourselves and human kind along with all our animal brothers. Please help humanity get through this “rough patch” and help lengthen our existence. I want to say that I love you all even though I may not be there to say it or just don’t do at times I do.
Take care. With you always.
