Dear Cherie,

Dear future me, I promise to keep all the trees in the world. Trying everything to prevent deforestation. The average temperature of the past year 0.87 degrees celsius. This affects our trees because the temperature has risen making it more eligible for a wildfire to start out of nowhere. This has a negative pouring more carbon into the atmosphere and reducing the number of trees, which inhale CO2 and release oxygen. I promise to plant 5 trees every year just to make sure I don’t leave a carbon footprint. Sincerely, me.

More Messages to the Future

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise I will convince my family to switch their gas appliances to electric.

My darlings, Juno & Vaeda,

You ask insightful questions, and together we learn about the mysterious world we inhabit.

Dear Future,

I asked you, the future , to help us as well, to preserve our only planet that can give us life, that can let us watch anime, go to the beach, smell flowers, run through the meadow, listen to our songs, be in a concert, and let us live.

Dear Finn and Cy,

I think a lot about what you might be like when you grow up and about what kind of world you will live in.

To our future generations,

I want you to know that some of us do care and we are working towards a better future for you.

To My Future Child(ren),

The fact that you are reading this means that you would know the answer to a question that has kept me up at night more often than I would like to admit: Did I make you proud?

To my children,

I hope that the fervor that is building continues to build and spread and that the world has made progress to minimize the effects of our past actions.

Dear Tom and Leena,

I want you to only see the beauty in this world; there is so much of it and I will protect this beauty for as long as I am here on this Earth.

To My Future Self,

This lead me to my final project, which focused on reforming the education system to incorporate sustainability classes into the current curriculum.

Dear Brothers & Sisters All Across Mother Earth,

I promise to wholeheartedly live my life with an awareness of my personal impact on our communities and our planet.

To my future children,

I am doing everything I can because I want the footprint that I leave behind to be my feet in the sand on a beach and not a carbon one.

I will recycle stuff I found.
