To my beloved children,

I am so glad that you are reading this message. I hope that you are leading a wonderful life on planet Earth without many problems. When I was the school I learned about how climate change was increasing and that if we didn’t attempt to make changes, the future generation will not have a better place to live. Therefore, as a citizen here are the things that I considered or made changes as a family so you could have a better future. Make sure your house has solar panels on the roof, try to dry your clothes in the backyard instead of the dryer, use an electric car, avoid eating beef, grow more plants, and do not waste water. These are the small changes that you can make in your lifestyle that will contribute and make a difference. Please pass this on to your children so they could continue to keep the Earth cooler and livable for future children.

More Messages to the Future

Dear Children and Grandchildren,

I see a world full of hope fueled by the desire for change.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to recycle and compost.

To my dear son,

Last year most of the world’s reefs turned white at some point, but because it was underwater you and your friends didn’t see.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to try to set up crowd funding for grants to people with realistic proposals to fight climate change.

Dear Tomorrow and Dearest Lex,

I do believe that the collective power of everyone’s best efforts can curb the worst effects of climate change, and provide you with a more stable and secure future.

Dear X—, Dear A—,

As with our struggles to eliminate police brutality, as with hate crimes, so it is with climate change – there are actually a lot of people out there who care.

Dear Child,

Hope we get to have that snowball fight I always dreamed we’d have.

For my children,

If we haven’t done enough and the world you’re living on is apocalyptic or if you’re living on another planet then I’m deeply sorry and just know that I believe in you and I know that you are both strong and smart enough to handle anything.

Dear Spike, Loulou and Yoshua,

I’m going to start a campaign to try to convince everybody in the Netherlands to not eat meat one day a week.

Dear people of The Future,

Thank you for reading. Do your part to save the globe.

Dear Birds,

will continue championing land preservation and the restoration of woodland, prairie and wetland habitats. I will not stop advocating for “bird friendly” legislation to make cities safer for your passage.

Dear children,

Despite all the difficulties, we are from a family whose principles are honesty and love for others, and that’s what I want to share with you.
