To future generations,

In the present, the world is facing a problem where we heavily depend on fossil fuel. The burning of the fossil fuel is the primary cause of the world’s global warming pollution. Especially in the U.S., we use a majority of our energy source for consumerism rather than necessity. Because goods and services are easily accessible, we often forget about the carbon footprint and how it impacts the planet. We can begin by switching to solar energy, avoiding purchasing unnecessary goods, cutting down the amount of meat consumption, reducing transportation or driving electric vehicles. I hope in the next several decades everyone takes part in changing environment before the damages on Earth become irreversible.

More Messages to the Future

Dear Tomorrow,

I will work to restore the wetlands.

Dear Ari and Levi,

Luckily, we have figured out ways to build things without making the air dirty, and we are trying very hard to get more people to switch over to this new way as fast as we can.

Dear Maddie,

Please know that I have tried very hard to be one of those people, to even make the smallest of changes in order to improve the world for you and your future.

To all the people here on earth,

Who knows what the future would look like? or what will happened in the future? No one knows right? That’s why it it’s scary because we don’t know what lies ahead. We couldn’t stop the future but we can always change it.

Dear Future Me: Only open after March 4th, 2050

I don’t regret my past ventures, nor do I believe I will regret my future ventures, but I’ve learned that I’ve needed to manifest these experiences into actions of sustainable development and conservation and protection of our environment.

Dear Donatella,

We ran through the woods laughing, crying, and living.

I pledge to use less plastic.

Dear Future,

I will use less plastic.

Dear residents of Bedminster, Bristol UK,

We hope we did enough

My dearest Paloma Bear,

I want the very best for you and for generations to come. There is only one planet earth. Your mommy and I will make a genuine effort to make an impact to protect it for you.

Dear Great Grandchildren,

If you are reading this, you probably inherited my fascination with ancestry, and the way it uncovers incredible stories of unlikely survival.

To my future children,

I am doing everything I can because I want the footprint that I leave behind to be my feet in the sand on a beach and not a carbon one.
