Dear to the future generations,

I imagine a world where there will be little to no pollution with our advanced technology aiding us to a better life. We are suffering from natural disasters that are causing bigger lash-backs resulting in a lot of civilian death. As of today, I do my best in trying to educate and inform others on how we can minimize the growth of global warming and contribute to a greener society. From saving shower time to being conservative with electricity all these small steps will help achieve the long term dream goal of a greener society. I want to be able to see my kids running around in the park without the need of the mask due to the smog volume that is increasing from industrial production. Furthermore, nature needs to be treated right or we bear the consequences with horrific disasters. My message to the future generations is to live happy and treat mother nature right as it is the only thing that gives us life to live.

Sincerely,

Youssef

More Messages to the Future

Dear kids of America,

Please eliminate plastic everything

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to try to set up crowd funding for grants to people with realistic proposals to fight climate change.

The gift for next generation,

To save the big world, perhaps, we should change the mind from myself to my small family to my community.

Dear Grandchildren,

So here we are. In 2022 millions of people are suffering from the climate catastrophes, killing pollution and pandemic, not mentioning about poverty, gender and social injustice, racism, wars and dictatorships that can go on as long as bad people in power are allowed to grab our natural resources.

Dear Future,

“I knew you would want to know how the future turned out. You got so anxious about climate change as we grew older.  By coming back, I thought I could help you with that.”

Vitória,

Antes de realizar qualquer ação pense no meio ambiente para que suas atitudes sejam pautadas na sustentabilidade. Assim o seu pensar e agir localmente poderão resvalar na escala global.

Dear A and C,

You are growing up in a time of immense change. In the last two years alone, we’ve learned so much about big and important issues including climate change and the systemic racism that runs through our institutions.

Dear Future Afnan,

You should make a time machine and come back to past and solve all the problems.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to buy organic food and run more and bike more! (I could use the exercise.)

To anyone who has heard my music,

I promise to care about the planet.

Dear Child,

Hope we get to have that snowball fight I always dreamed we’d have.

To the generation after mine,

But when you encounter that resistance–and you will, regularly–know that you must respond just how we have had to these past 50 years. With love, and sternness, and most of all, courage. Because that is what the resistance fears the most. We who came before you promise that we will do the same while we wait for you. Know that you will never be alone.
