Dear Future Generations,

It breaks my heart to even feel the need to have to write this.
I am a 25 year old girl living in London, turning 26 in 2 days!
I have been interested in climate change since i left school but recently i have grown more and more interested.

I am scared and saddened that in around 50 years from now the arctic will have practically melted. I love the snow, i love polar bears, i love the arctic weather i love visiting places like finland, yllas and Norway every winter. These places are the most magical on earth and to think one day they will be just an ordinary country breaks my heart. I want generations after generations to be able to visit these incredible places to experience the northern lights, snowboard and ice fish. If global warming continues as it is right now whilst I’m writing this then i fear all the beautiful things on earth will be lost forever.

I promise to make as many changes to my life as possible to make yours as great as mine.

More Messages to the Future

Querida Futuro Yo,

Quiero que puedas decirme que lo hemos logrado, y que el mundo hoy es un poquito mejor porque nosotras pusimos de nuestra parte.

Dear future Child or Grandchild,

Climate is undeniably changing but it is not top priority.

Queridos amigos sobrevivientes.

Quiero pensar que ustedes serán la diferencia, que tomaran más actos sobre el asunto y no dejaran que nada los detenga.

Dear Tomorrow and Dearest Lex,

I do believe that the collective power of everyone’s best efforts can curb the worst effects of climate change, and provide you with a more stable and secure future.

Dear Kids,

I know it’s long past time to wake up. You deserve a future in which drought, famine, and war are not all your children ever know; the choices my generation makes now will determine your future.

To the Future Generations,

I look at my baby niece today. The newest member of our family, just 3 days old. What will be left for her and her grandchildren?

Dear humankind of today and tomorrow,

I do wish to contribute as much as I can, maybe even start a ripple effect, where other people will start taking action too and inspire other people too.

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to go to the farmer’s market more

to my dearest children,

Our future is being made now, and I promise to do everything in my power to make yours safe.

My dear granddaughter Christy,

My own curiosity and knowing what a caring, aware young woman you are help me override despair.

Dear Jack,

Right now you are only a little over 5 weeks old, but you have truly changed my whole world. Your Mom and I always say that we thought we loved before you were born, but now that you have come into the world and we met you, our ability to love just expanded exponentially.

Dear friends,

Rather than exploit it, destroy it, poison it, why don’t we just enhance the beauty of it, guard it, and love it?
