Dear my next generation, my friends and my family,

Please read this message with a deepness in your heart. I’m Ayu Puspita Maharani and I am 15 years old. I wrote this message to help you realize what we fear the most.

Climate change has been very severe. There are people who are not aware of the problem and even those against the truth of it. Such people are uncaring and selfish. Climate change makes me realize and care about the generations who will live, who will make the earth better. Climate change makes a lot of people suffer. We can’t live with a broken earth. God has given us what we need, so we should take care not to damage it. I hope that climate change can be stopped and we will live in peace again and start doing something positive for our earth.

To you in the future: I hope after you read this message, you will realize and will start to act against climate change, as previous generations have done. I hope you can finish what we have not completed. Perhaps when you read this message, the earth is no longer as it is now. The sky may be gray, the ocean may have been exposed, the trees may be rare, you may never see snow. If you are not aware of the problem, try to watch Before the Flood with your seriousness.

I am very worried about the state of the earth today. I have made a little progress and I am going to try to do more for our earth. Ver few people know and care about it. If you read this, keep in mind what we need is a god and our planet, not machines. I really beg you so that you begin to try and make our dreams to save the earth come true. Earth needs us, yet we are the ones who destroy it.

I promise I will help people realize about climate change. I will try my best, travel the world, see the condition of climate change in every country and do something for that.

More Messages to the Future

Dear Lila

So today, my strong and spunky girl, I promise you this: I will stay vigilant and flexible. I will spread the word.

Dear Tomorrow,

I have solar and will be getting an electric car next week

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise I’ll replace our lights with LED lights.

Dear Future Self,

More than getting through a global pandemic that has already taken hundreds of thousands of lives around the world, our true feat is even larger: to secure our long-term health and the health of the ecosystems upon which we depend for life. To do that, we have to cut our emissions in half in the next ten years, and continue to reduce it beyond that. And to succeed in that, we need to fundamentally shift the way we do EVERYTHING.

Dear future generations,

Young people are making a lot of noise and politicians are now listening.

I love you Earth.

To My Children,

Is the world really polluted?

Dear Future,

“I knew you would want to know how the future turned out. You got so anxious about climate change as we grew older.  By coming back, I thought I could help you with that.”

Dear Tomorrow,

I promise to educate myself and others about how we can protect and nourish our 1 PLANET

Caro Giovanni,

Dobbiamo aiutare nel conservare il bello che c’è nel nostro pianeta.

Dear Kids,

My mistake was thinking I needed to give you more to be a good Mom. Recently your aunt asked me what my favorite toy was growing up. I gulped, I didn’t have one- it was the outdoors, sliding down a ravine of leaves with my Dad, skiing and camping. Today is October 12th, 2021 and I am still going to be giving you a lot, it’s going to look a little different – love, experiences, education and a healthy planet.

Dear future me,

My hopes have always been to live in a brighter and better generation, where women are respected around the world, human rights are respected and last but not least where animals and mother nature is cared for by us individuals.
